Andrew Kyung, Editor-in-Chief of the Vanderbilt Political Review and president of the Vanderbilt College Democrats, sat down with Noah Jenkins, the Review’s Podcasting Director and president of the Vanderbilt College Republicans, to offer their reflections on American politics post-Election Night and President Trump’s first month in office. The duo also shared their long-term hopes and dreams for their parties going into the 2030s and beyond.

Noah Jenkins, Podcast Director
Noah Jenkins is a junior from Kissimmee, Florida studying economics and history. He works for Senator Marsha Blackburn’s (R-TN) reelection campaign and leads both the Vanderbilt and Tennessee College Republicans. He also was a Summer Honors Scholar with the American Enterprise Institute and has had opinion pieces published in Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report. Besides politics, he is active in Vanderbilt Moot Court, qualifying for the pre-national tournament last season.

Andrew Kyung is a senior from Demarest, New Jersey serving as editor in chief of the Vanderbilt Political Review for the 2024-2025 academic year. A political science and American studies major, Andrew is chiefly interested in the executive branch and the inner workings of public administration at the federal level. Elsewhere on campus, Andrew is a researcher for the Department of Political Science and the president of the Vanderbilt College Democrats. In his free time, he likes to drink coffee, listen to music, go on long runs, and watch discursive YouTube video essays.
