About VPR

Founded in 2008, the Vanderbilt Political Review is Vanderbilt’s nonpartisan political journal.

The objectives of the organization are as follows:

  • To provide an academic journal to the Vanderbilt community that serves as a political forum for free expression, a free exchange of ideas, dissemination of news, and an outlet for creative work
  • To create awareness and encourage discourse on political issues and events
  • To provide an opportunity for students to learn and gain competency in mass communications skills, including leadership, management, writing, editing, and publication

CrossTalk Policy:

CrossTalk is the Vanderbilt Political Review’s monthly discussion board featuring timely political issues. VPR encourages all Vanderbilt students to submit 1-3 paragraphs to CrossTalk, engaging with and expressing their opinion on the topic. VPR reserves the right to decline publication of responses that do not align with the mission of VPR or contain vulgar language, hate speech, or inaccurate information. Responses are subject to typical VPR editorial standards, and factual claims must be cited with reputable sources. Publication decisions are made at the discretion of the editorial team. CrossTalk submissions are to be sent to Editor in Chief, Alícia Isasi ([email protected]).
